| A Capital Campaign requires Leadership, Planning and Discipline. It has a beginning and an end and a clearly defined target. It can be divided into several Phases. | ||||
| Planning Phase | ||||
| This involves all the preparation for the campaign, such as writing the case statement, producing brochures and pledge cards, developing the theme for the campaign, defining job descriptions for the volunteers, finding the Campaign Chairperson and all the Task Force Chairpersons and looking for Task Force members. | ||||
| Research/Recruitment Phase | ||||
| This is part of the Planning Phase and actually goes over into the Operations Phase. It is ongoing. | ||||
| Operations Phase | ||||
| It involves asking for and securing Leadership, Key and Major Gifts as well as staging a Launch event and obtaining Community Gifts. | ||||
| Follow-Up Phase | ||||
| This
continues whilst there are outstanding pledges. It involves nurturing the
donors and keeping them informed of the project's progress.
